Body Surfing

Experience the highs and lows of River waves without any supportive device like Surfboard or Bodyboard. Yes, it sounds scary but interesting. This adventure is absolutely fun and popularly known as ‘Body Surfing’. This is one of the most entertaining river adventures in Rishikesh. Travellers immensely enjoy the heavenly wave rides of the Ganges under the sparkling sun. Amongst other adventures activities in Rishikesh, this is considered easy, enjoyable and enticing because it doesn’t need too many techniques. It is just about motioning the body with the rhythm of river waves.

Giant Swing

Rejuvenate your senses by taking on the extreme sport of Giant Swing amidst calming surroundings of Rishikesh. This is the second activity that “Jumpin Heights” offer. Jump is done from the same Bungy Platform. You are fitted with a seat & chest harness which is connected to the fixed wire ropes. On jump, after the initial free fall, the ropes smoothly swing you like a pendulum.

Ganga Aarti

Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan (about 10 km from Camp Brook) is organized and performed by ashram residents, particularly the children who are studying the Vedas there. The ceremony commences with the singing of bhajans, prayers, and a purifying and sacred ritual that takes place around a fire, with offerings made to Agni, the fire god. The lamps are lit and the aarti takes place as the final part of the ceremony. The children sing along with the spiritual head of the ashram, in sweet, haunting voices. A huge statue of Lord Shiva overlooks the proceedings. Everyone present for the aarti is engaged likewise. Thus, innumerable floating lamps adorned the rapid current of the Ganga. The starry night sky seemed to be a reflection of the river below.

Chotiwala

TChotiwala, with its peculiar name, started as a small eating outlet about half a century ago. And for the past 20 years, it has been the most famous dining destination in Rishikesh. However, it is its Royal and Special Thalis that Chotiwala is mostly famous for, which include many Indian dishes, sweets and other mouthwatering delicacies.
